Optiride is committed to protecting the privacy of your personal information. This policy explains how we collect, hold, use and disclose personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), and how you can access or correct your information, ask a question or make a complaint.
1. What personal information we collect
We collect information that is reasonably necessary to provide our vehicle brokerage services, which may include:
- your name and contact details (mobile number, email address, suburb/postcode);
- details of the vehicle you are interested in, and of any trade-in vehicle (including registration, condition and photos you provide);
- records of our communications with you; and
- if you proceed to purchase, details reasonably required to complete the transaction with the supplying dealer (such as your delivery address and licence details for registration purposes).
We do not collect financial account details, and we do not provide finance or credit products.
2. How we collect it
We collect personal information directly from you — for example, when you submit an enquiry through our website, contact us by phone or email, or provide documents to us. We may also receive limited information from a supplying dealer in the course of completing your purchase.
3. Why we collect, use and disclose it
We use your personal information to: respond to your enquiry; confirm your vehicle requirements; obtain competitive quotes from supplying dealers; negotiate and coordinate your purchase and delivery; and communicate with you about your enquiry. With your consent, we may also send you occasional updates or offers you would reasonably expect from us — you can opt out at any time.
Important: when obtaining quotes, we do not disclose your name or contact details to dealers. Dealers receive the vehicle specification and general location only, until you approve a quote and instruct us to proceed.
4. Who we disclose it to
We may disclose personal information to: the supplying dealer you approve (to complete your purchase); our service providers (such as IT, email and website hosting providers) under obligations of confidentiality; and government or regulatory bodies where required by law. We do not sell your personal information to any third party.
5. Website data and cookies
Our website may use cookies and analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) to understand how visitors use the site and to measure advertising. This information is generally not capable of identifying you personally. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's opt-out browser add-on.
6. How we hold and secure it
Personal information is held electronically on secure, access-controlled systems, which may include reputable cloud services. We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure, and we destroy or de-identify information when it is no longer required. No internet transmission can be guaranteed as completely secure.
7. Access and correction
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by contacting us using the details below. We will verify your identity before providing access, and will respond within 30 days. Access is normally provided free of charge.

1. Our service
Optiride provides a vehicle brokerage service: on your instruction, we obtain competitive quotations for new and demonstrator vehicles from supplying dealers, negotiate on your behalf, and coordinate the purchase and delivery process. Optiride acts as your broker; the vehicle sale contract is between you and the supplying dealer, who remains responsible for the vehicle, its statutory warranties and manufacturer warranty.
2. Quotes and no obligation
Submitting an enquiry and receiving quotations is free of charge and creates no obligation to purchase. Quotations are indicative until confirmed in writing by the supplying dealer and may be subject to stock availability, manufacturer price changes, and government charges current at the time of contract.
3. Fees
Optiride's service is provided free of charge to you. We are remunerated by way of a flat fee paid by the supplying dealership when a purchase proceeds. This fee is the same regardless of which dealership supplies your vehicle and does not increase the price you pay.
4. Your responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate information (including in relation to any trade-in vehicle), to review quotations and contract documents before approving them, and to deal with us honestly. Final vehicle selection and the decision to purchase are yours alone.
5. Trade-ins
Any trade-in valuation we obtain is based on the information and images you supply and remains subject to physical inspection by the acquiring dealer. The trade-in transaction is between you and that dealer.
6. No finance, insurance or investment advice
Optiride does not provide credit assistance, financial product advice, insurance or tax advice. Any figures we present relating to finance or running costs are general information only — obtain your own independent advice.
7. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law. To the extent permitted by law, Optiride's liability in connection with our brokerage service is limited to resupplying the service, and we are not liable for the acts or omissions of supplying dealers, manufacturers or carriers.
8. Website
Website content is general information only and may change without notice. You must not misuse this website, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, or use it to transmit unlawful material. All branding and content is owned by Optiride and may not be reproduced without permission.
9. Privacy
Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
10. General
These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia. If any provision is found invalid, the remainder continue in force. We may update these terms from time to time; the current version applies from publication on this website.
